The Appeal court in Abuja on Tuesday 16 June 2020 affirmed the ruling of the federal high court that earlier suspended the party National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole
Following Oshiomole’s suspension yesterday, the party’s spokesman Lanre Issa-Onilu made a disclosure that the party has appointed Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the Deputy National Chairman (South), as the acting chairman of the party till further notice.
The APC’s legal department justified Ajimobi’s appointment through section 14.2(iii) of their Constitution which says that the Deputy National chairman, North/South “Shall act as the national chairman in the absence of the National Chairman from his zone”
