University Staff End strike After Agreement With FG

The Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, on Thursday, called off their three-week-old strike after reaching an agreement with the Federal Government.
The two parties agreed on all the eight-point demand of the Joint Action Committee of the unions, leading to the signing of a Memorandum of Action.
While disclosing the suspension of the strike in a circular to all branch chairmen hours after the meeting with the government, the association said the action has been suspended with effect from Friday (today).
